Review | Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum

If there is one skincare item that I would say makes a difference since I added it in to my routine, it is a serum. They are designed to be jam packed with ingredients to help tackle your certain skin concerns.

I have dehydrated skin, so I try to find serums that help to boost hydration and bring back moisture in my face. The latest to hit my shelf comes from Vichy and their Aqualia Thermal Serum. I have my eye on this serum for the best part of last year, so I was excited to bite the bullet and purchase this beautiful blue bottle.

The reason I wanted to give this a try is because Vichy claims this adds moisture for up to 48 hours. That is a big claim! It contains, water from the Thermal Spa waters as well as a big dose of hyaluronic acid. Hylaronic Acid is a must for me. My skin needs the moisture hit the acid gives.

After using this for at least a month now, I can safely say this has landed in my box of Holy Grail skincare products (a word I do not through around lightly) We have have had some mixed matched weather out here in the UK. Be it the heat from the heating or the harsh cold winds we been experiencing by the time I get home from work my skin can sometimes feel like a desert. The Vichy Aquilia Thermal Serum provide me with such comfort that could be matched with taking your heels off after wearing them all day. my skin instantly turns in to sponge soaking up all the moisture that it has to offer.

A little goes a long way. I literally use a small pump so I know this will last me a long time. I like to take my time and massage it nicely in to my skin. This helps the product sink in while getting my blood circulating. My skin looks rejuvenated, brighter, alive and just fresh. It is also perfect to use after a hot shower.

The texture of the serum is so light and moisturising, it can be used both in the morning and the evening while giving you the effects you desire. It does not tighten up like most serums (Hyaluron does this) and sits perfectly well under your moisturiser and any make up you want to apply.

Out of all my skincare products I am currently using, I have to say this is the one I look forward to using the most. I have fallen head over heels for this serum.

Serums can be on the pricey side but if you are going to invest in one piece of skincare, I would invest it in a serum that helps you with your skincare concerns, be it dull skin, blemishes or dehydration. They contain the most ingredients and stay on your skin the longest.

You can find the Vichy Aquilia Thermal Serum at Boots (and it is on offer!)
