Review | NYX Cosmetics Lip Pencils

Lip Liners became a huge trend in the beauty world during 2015 and this trend looks set to stay in 2016. I will do a round up post or video in the near future but for my first drugstore review of 2016 I wanted to share with you the latest budget lip liners in my collection. Back in October I was able to see a NYX Cosmetics Stand for the first time. Among some of the purchases I made, I picked up Six of the NYX Cosmetics Lip Pencils.

My favourite from the bunch has to be shade Never. Never is a deep grey toned purple which should come across very bold and out there but I found this to work during the day on the weekend too. Do not get me wrong you are making a small statement when wearing this but it is more wearable than you would automatically think.

The one I wear the most and carry around consistently in my hand bag is the shade Mahogany. This is a deep brown mahogony shade. I pair this with a neutral lipstick to add some definition for an every day make up look.

Prune is a shade that is from the same family as Never, however has more berry tones in it compared to Never. This is one I use apply when I want a true purple shade on the lips.

I also picked up the shades Purple Rain and Hot Pink. Purple Rain is a dual chrome purple shade while the Hot Pink as the name suggests is a true pink shade. While I do love these shades I tend to not wear them on a regular basis compared to the others.

The NYX Cosmetics Lip liners are pencil liners. Since this set have been a part of my collection I rarely wear another lip liners. They are comfortable to apply on the lips not too drying and I have found the texture of the NYX Cosmetics liners do not tug too much on the lips allowing you fill the whole lip in nicely and evening creating a smooth finish.

Having looked at the Boots website I also found they have Slide on Lip Pencils which have caught my eye. (Not that I have a need for them but a few more lip liners never hurt anybody)

Incase you have yet to try NYX, you can find them online as well as stands in the Manchester Boots. I have yet to see the stand in person but I have herd it is incredible!
