Welcome to the last Sunday Post of 2015. A lot has happened this year and there is a lot to think about in terms of the future both with this blog and in my day to day life. For one thing, I thought it was important to let you know there will be new versions of posts on the blog as well as a redesign coming up so please keep an eye on my twitter for updates.
This week was full of festivities at work. Everyone was working hard but excited for the holidays. We finished on the 23rd which was a nice. I will admit it felt weird waking up on the Thursday not having to rush to leave the house for half 8.
As Muslims my family do not celebrate Christmas as such but it was really lovely to see all the happy faces on my friends faces celebrating with their loved ones. I often get asked what we do on Christmas day as everywhere is closed and to be honest we do not do a whole lot. I spent the day taking some pictures, spending some time with my parents and then in the evening visited my grandma. We caught up on some traditional Christmas TV (Doctor Who and Eastenders are both a must in our house)
My mama has a trip coming up in two weeks so I have spent this weekend helping her get a few bits and pieces. There were the boxing day sales but in all honesty I stayed away from a lot of it. The pieces I have my eye on are not on sale. Saying that, I did manage to grab these lovely boots half price. I also picked up a couple of pieces for a giveaway coming up in the new year so keep an eye out for that.
Today the day will be ending with my lovely family. The majority of my family are off during these holidays so we will be getting together a few times this week. I am looking forward to seeing my little cousins as they spent their christmas holidays abroad so it will be nice to hear all about their adventures.
Overall it has been a good week. I do not go back to work until the 4th so I am sure I will have some fun things happening this week.
Before I end the post, I just wanted to take the time to say a huge Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate. I hope you have an incredible day and spent time with your loved ones.
Here is to 2016!
