Shocking Pink
With the winter months you want a nice nourishing lipstick which is still matte. and when it is the time of year you are spending a lot of money on others, I thought I would share with you these lipsticks from NYX. They are budget friendly and will help you in a lip crunch.

I have three shades from the collection. The first one is the shade Alabhama which is a nice deep red. Perfect for this time of year when you have a lot of evening occasions and want to dress up a little bit. If you like MAC Russian Red this is a good alternative. I appreciate a deep red lipstick and glad to have this in my collection.

Another shade I came across is the shade Shocking Pink, which is a beautiful pink shade. I am not sure if this is the shade for me in particular but it is a stunning colour and would look flattering on a variety of skin tones.

The last one I picked is because it reminds me slightly of MAC Whirl which is one of my favourite lipsticks and it is the shade Euro Trash. It is a really nice nude shade which I thought would be a great edition to many of your collections. I have been wearing a nude lip more and more for work and I personally find it hard to find shades that work for me and my olive skin tone. I have been working on that though and found some gems which I plan to share with you soon.

I love the packaging of the NYX Matte Lipsticks. For £6.50 I feel like they look chic with the black. The pigmentation of of these lipsticks are good. They work well because they provide you will a bold wash of colour but you can build it up if you wish too.

Although they say they are matte, they have a creamy hydrating feel on the lips but without a shine which is a formula that is perfect for this time of year when the winds make your lips dry.

The one thing I would say is that the lasting power of these lipsticks is not the best. They last a few hours but if you eat and drink you will need to reapply them. Personally this doesn't bother me too much as the lipstick does not go everywhere so I am able to reapply it without getting messy.

If you want to delve in to the world of matte lipsticks these are a good drugstore formula to try.
