This is my first lipstick from NARS and I have to say I am incredibly impressed. It is a semi matte formula which made me slightly cautious but I did not have to worry. The reason for the formula is because it is a matte formula but the lipstick is enriched with Vitamin E which helps to nourish and conditions the lips.
When you apply it to your lips there is a slight sheen but it is not glossy. NARS VIP Red stays in place throughout the day and only fades once you eat and drink. The Vitamin E affects the lasting power in that respect but it is not something I am worried about. (I like reapplying my lipstick after I have had a cup of tea or my lunch)
In terms of application, this is a dream to apply on the lips. It glides on well and steady which makes it very easy to touch up on the go. It does not cling on to dry patches which is something you need in a lip product at this time of year.
If you suffer from dry lips but love a bold lip this is one you need to try. I think it is limited edition so if you see this in stock at your local counter make sure you grab it while you can.
