A while ago I found a sample of the famous
Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate. Originally, I was unsure about trying this coveted skincare item because I found my skin appreciates more gel like/ cream based serums but curiosity got the better of me and I decided to give it a go.
The
Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate helps to replenish your skin cells overnight, leaving it feeling hydrated and soft when you wake up in the morning.
You apply only a couple of drops using the dropper and then lightly pat it on to the skin. I really liked the dropper element to the
Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate because it means a little bit goes a long way. In fact this sample lasted a good couple of weeks.
For an oil the formula is very lightweight and not as heavy as I imagined it to be. It does not clog up my pores or make their appearance well known which some oils can do to me.
The
Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate contains 99.8% naturally derived ingredients such as Evening Primrose Oil, Lavender Essential Oil and Squalane. If you already use Kiehls you will already have herd of Squalane as it is a signature ingredient for the brand and is used to bring forward the skins natural moisture in to the face.
All three combined provide a nice calming aromatic scent which adds to the experience of applying the concentrate on to the skin.
If you have dry or dehydrated skin, this is perfect for winter. I found my make up sat well on top of this and it was a lovely treat to end the day with.
I really did enjoy using this on my face and was pleasantly surprised at how much I did enjoy it. Would I purchase the full size. I am still loyal to my coveted Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum, however if I did want to branch out, this would be one I would consider purchasing.
