When I first started wearing eyeliner I found the process very overwhelming. There are so many options for all price points out there. You have gel, pencil, felt tip and liquid liners. Over the past couple of years, I tried a few and here is the low down.
The felt tip liner
I have a deep love for the felt tip liners. They were the first liners I ever tried. My favourite is the
Soap and Glory Cupercat Liner, it has incredibly rich intense black pigment lasts a very long time and very easy to use. Some felt tip liners can be a bit flimsy making the application hard, especially if you're new to liners, however this one does not do that. It is firm allowing you have more precise control when you apply it.
The Pencil Liner
If you know me, this may shock you but recently I have been applying pencil liner more and more. I have soft sensitive lids and in the past when someone has tried to apply pencil liner on me I wince and cannot do it. The
NARS Gel Liner is a soft khol liner which lasts all day. It gives the definition you want on your eyes without being too bold and wearable in the office. On days when I am wearing minimal make up or when I don't want to go too heavy on my liner this has been working a treat.
The Liquid Liner
Possibly the one form of liner I was very scared to use and took my time to practise. The delicate applicator of liquid liners means you need a steady hand to apply this. Control can be quite hard to come by when applying this. I had herd good things about the
NYC Liquid liner and as it was only a couple of pounds, it is a great liner to buy and practise with. The liquid formulation means this is perfect for those occasions you want to go all out on your make up and need a liner on top of a bold eye look. Liquid Liner lasts the longest out of all the liners I have mentioned and is my go to when I can spend a couple of extra minutes to make sure I don't mess it up!
I know how overwhelming the choice for liners can be so I hope this helped. I also hope you realise liners are not something you have to splurge on. You can grab some fantastic ones form Boots and Superdrug!
