Wednesday Ramblings | The travel skincare Stash

Travel Skincare
Last weekend I ventured to Coventry for the Muslim Lifestyle Expo and as I was only away for the weekend and not flying over the ocean I deviated from my regular skincare routine so I thought I would share the bits and pieces I took with me.

First thing is first, I always always take cotton pads and flannel. These are the two things I need to take my make up off. Regular towels are too harsh on your face and you need cotton pads for around your eyes.

With that out of the way, let us get to the crux of my stash.

When it comes to cleansing I need to do a double cleanse. If I do not do this my skin still feels like it still has gunk on it. On this night I used up two samples I had stashed away. My Bioderma Sebium Micellar Water and the Clarins  Daily Energising Cleansing Gel. I usually steer away from Gel Cleansers but this one is light, does not foam up and feels fresh.

Moving on from cleansing on this occasion I skipped the toner but if you are going away for more than a night pack one in your bag ladies! My choice would be the First Aid Beauty Radiance Facial Pads. You can pack just  a few of the pads in a smaller container to save space if you were only going for a couple of nights.

In terms of eye cream I had the Bobbi Brown Hydrating eye cream sample I have been wanting to try. I have had my eye on this for a while and really liked how it felt it on the skin. Then is time for my serum. A serum is my vice in my entire routine. I cannot live without it. I am currently in love with my Clarins Hydra-Quench bi Phase serum and I did not have a mini serum in my stash so I decided I had enough room for this full size beauty.

The add ons include a mini pack of Neal and Woolf Shampoo and Conditioner. I was only away for the night so I decided to take this as it would do for one night. My hair is quite long and there is a lot of it so with that in mind if I was actually going away for a good length of time I would not be able to get away with something like this but it did the job. I do like Neal and Woolf, I have spoken about them before and are worth looking in too.

I also took a long a mini Molton Brown hand cream which I will admit, not my favourite but did keep my hands nice and smooth. I also had my evening free in a hotel room and decided I wanted some R&R and with that comes masks. I had some sample of Aesop's Parsley Seed and Hydrating Cream. I didn't get to try the mask but I do like the cream. I plan on doing a first impressions on some Aessop samples I got at a counter so keep an eye out for that.

This was quite a rushed kit I put together but it meant I did not have to lug my big box of skincare around with me and save me some room. I was travelling on the train too so it kept my bag on the lighter side.
