I am heading to the
Muslim Life Expo this weekend and it got me a little bit excited. Not only will it be a fabulous weekend but I get to pack. I am one of those people who looks forward to packing. It gets me excited for the trip ahead.
With that in mind, I thought I would share some of my packing tips and tricks with you incase any of you were planning a weekend away or heading to somewhere sunny this month.
Lay out your outfits
If you are an over packer, the best way to make sure you do not pack too many clothes, lay out the outfits you have planned for each day. So gather every day time outfit and evening outfit you want to take with you and lay them out on your bed. This makes sure you have enough clothes. This will mean you have everything you need and not forget anything you may want to complete an outfit such as jewellery and shoes.
Make up Planning
It can be a bit of a headache deciding what make up pieces to take. The way I am going to be get around this is putting make up in the bag in the way I apply it on my face. So I will put my primer in my bag, then my foundation before moving on to the other bits and pieces.
When it comes to eyes and lips I would take an eye palette that gives you a couple of options so daytime and evening (The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette is the way to go) and for lips one bold option and one nude option depending on how I am feeling at the time.
Don't leave it too late
Leaving packing for the day you are going to travel is a sign you will forget something. Personally, it leaves me anxious. The latest I will pack will be the evening before. On this occasion I will be leaving early in the morning so I do not have a choice but even when I was travelling a lot more during university, I would pack the evening before I left for a trip.
Other than that packing should be fun, listen to a podcast, watch Netflix or Youtube video and make it more pleasant. You can also have a friend over or get your mum to sit with you while you pack and have a nice conversation.
If you are going on Holiday, I hope you have a wonderful time.
