Bali Health Lounge
Something I am trying to focus on is my mental health. Something I have realised is that looking after yourself is just as important as looking after the people you love. You need to be the best version of yourself. With the hyperactive world we live in, we can forget this but I found a hidden gem in the heart of Manchester that makes it that much more easier.

The Bali Health Lounge is a health spa in chinatown. The owners have based it around the idea that a massage should not be seen as a luxury that costs the earth or something you need to go away for the weekend to do once a year. Studies have shown that regular massages have proven physical health benefits such as releasing tense muscles, straightening backs to your mental health as it makes you feel relaxed and zen.

I was lucky enough to have a body massage on Friday and I already want to go back. The staff were absolutely friendly. My therapist Anna was lovely, telling me exactly what to expect at the beginning of the session and once she began she made sure the pressure was to my liking. I wanted her to focus on my back because it was sore and tense and needed some attention. She was lovely and listened to everything I said and helped undo the knots in my back.

As it was my first message I was a bit weary and not sure how comfortable I would be but I was completely at ease. I felt so relaxed and it was definitely a great way to end the working week.

You do not get the chance to use your phone during the treatment so you have no choice but to live in the moment and get in to the zone with the soft music and amazing soothing scents of the spa. It is the perfect way to clear your head.

After the treatment you can get a variety of tea which is perfect if you have been shopping or at work and need a pick me up. All the tea is made with the best ingredients. I had the breakfast tea this time around (I know very adventurous) but I noticed they have Assam tea which I want to give a try next time.

The range of treatments The Bali Health Lounge offer range from full 90 minute sessions to half an hour sessions, making it easy to fit in to your working day. It is open from 9am - 8- pm and as it is in the city centre, it is a great way to spend your lunch break or if you have had a busy stressful day at work. The price range is very purse friendly too which I like. A spa weekend would usually cost you over £100 but regular massages at The Bali Health Lounge costs £60 or less and you can also join their membership scheme where you pay a small fee per month and in tern receive one free treatment as well as a discount on any extra treatments as well as complimentary tea, manicures and use of the massage chairs in the spa.

I really enjoyed my time at The Bali Health Lounge. It helped me learnt exactly how much I need to take time for myself. It has only been a few days and I already want to go back.
