Living in the UK, I feel like we take a lot of what the country has to offer for granted. We are quite lucky to have a lot of things on our doorsteps. I am a big traveller. I love exploring and one place on my list to go has to be London. I have not been in around five years so it very overdue. I thought I would share with you my top five things do to when in the big city.
Shopping
This is a done deal for any beauty obsessive. London is home to some wonderful boutiques such as
Selfridges,
Liberty's as well as a MAC pro store. I would probably need to seriously restrain myself if I went shopping but there is nothing wrong window shopping and exploring the city.
Eating
London is home to some of the best eateries the country has to offer. My first would be to get some breakfast things and stock up at
Wholefoods for wherever I would be staying. I would also mix it up and eat at healthy places such as
Itsu and
The Good Life or
Planet Organic as well as places more indulgent such as
The Grill Steakhouse and
Homeslice. There are so many places to choose from so i would definitely have a look online yourselves if you're planning a trip.
See a show
London is home to the West End. The Broadway of the UK and it hosts some wonderful productions. At the moment two I would go to see would be
Les Miserables and
Bend it Like Beckham.
Museums
Markets Gallore
Does your trip to London overlap on a weekend? Make your time to visit some London Markets. This is one thing I have yet to experience in London. I would love to spend a weekend going from Camden Market, to Portebello Market to Borgough Market and ending with Spitalfeild Markets. The fresh air and the variety of goods, meeting people, it all sounds like heaven.
The bottom line? There is so much to do and explore in the world. Let's make the most of it while we can.
