Summer Make up

You know when you have those days when you just really love your make up? to the extent you do not want to take it off? That is how I felt with my make up on Friday. So with that mind, I thought I would share it with you.

The Base
(Side note: totally still all about that base in my head as I type this) I decided to shake things up a little bit and try out the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in the new moisturising formula. I have a sample of the shade Sand I am working through at the moment. I do like it, the coverage it good, it is long lasting and it looks better over time. I am still undecided if I want to make the purchase so keep your eyes peeled.

Time to get rid of any redness, dark circles and blemishes with my Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless concealer. I know I go on about this an awful but it is truly amazing and I cannot see myself getting bored of this gem any time soon.

To warm up my face, I then went in with my Laguna Bronzer. Again, I have talked about this far too much, you know the drill. I've started to hit pan on this which is slightly worrying.

Cheeks
For some blush vibes, I decided to go with my new Kiko Soft Blush in the shade. It is perfect for the spring as it is it a light pink. I use the Real Techniques Sculpting brush to apply this and I find it picks up enough product. On my skin tone it is very subtle and natural but you can build it up evenly.

Adding some sparkle it is time to hit the high points of my cheek with The Balm Mary Lou Manizer. Yes, I know this seems a bit intense to wear at work but somehow on my skintone and the tiny amount I apply this works wonderfully.

The Eyes
I decided to go through my collection for this eye look and crank out my Stila Ice Cream trio in the shade Mocha Chip. I took the light gold shade all over the lid and the pink champagne shade in the inner corners and delicately in the centre of the lids. (Side note, currently on sale for £9.00

To finish off, I went in with my Eyeko Skinny Liner and Benefit Rollerlash mascara*. The combination really open my eyes, making me look alert and awake even if I am not feeling it.

Lips
My favourite way to play up a look. It is no secret. The sun was out and unusually for me, I decided to change up my lip look a bit. I went in my Barry M lip liner in the shade 07 which is a brown shade and then went in Loreal Color Riche Exclusive Pure Red in Eva Pure Red. I haven't used this shade in such a long time, I had forgotten how beautiful it actually was. The formula is matte but very comfortable to wear on the lips. I wore this all day at work eating, drinking and although it faded slightly, it stayed in the same place all day.

There it is, the look I have been wearing for the past three days. I would love to know what you think. Would you do anything differently?

Lots of love
