If you have been reading my blog, you will know I do not do a smokey eye. I have small eyes and wear glasses so a smokey eye do not bode well for me. However, I have come up with an small alternative for times when I something a bit deeper on my eyes. It is a plum purple take on a smokey eye.
I used three different shades to achieve this look. The first one came from the T
oo Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and it is the shade Cherry Cordial. It is a nice deep purple which I used for a base to add some definition to the look. I take it all the way to the lids and then blend it out.
Then the reason I wanted to give this look a go. To add some shimmer and a true plum to the look, I went in with the shade Pigelle from the
Stila Eyes are in the Window Spirit Palette. It is such a beautiful plum, it was literally begging to be used. Buttery soft, highly pigmented. I used a packing brush to apply the colour and blended it out.
As I said, I wear glasses so my eyes look small. To brighten things up I always have to add a inner corner shade. I went in with the shade
Rose Quartz by Seventeen. This is such a beautiful shade. I am so glad I bought it. For £3.99, I am genuinely very impressed with the softness of this shadow and the pigmentation. (It actually comes out in the pictures which not all shadows do)
To finish any look off, it requires liner and mascara. On this day, I went in with my
Eyeko Skinny mini liner in black and because it was a bit of a dramatic eye (for me personally) I double layered the mascara with my
Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara and my
Benefit Rollerlash Mascara*. Both of these are going to run out soon and it is going to be a sad sad day when that day comes.
