It is that time of year when we just do not have the space for dry skin. The time of year when we realise how badly we failed at daily body moisturising during the cold winter days.
I was looking for a good heavy duty body scrub and decided to go with the
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub. This is not a new launch but it was one of the only scrubs from Soap and glory I have not tried and decided to give it a go.
The first thing that strikes you about the scrub is the scent. It is very floral, citrus based, and definitely an acquired scent. When the scrub first hit boots, I was not a fan, it was too sickly sweet, fast forward a few years and either my tastes have changed or the formula. It reminds me perfectly of a nice summers day when all you are doing is sitting with the family, chilling out, basking in the sun. (Hey, a girl can dream can't she?) With this is mind, it is quite a girly scent, not one my dad would personally be reaching for.
It is an exfoliating sugar scrub aiding to get rid of any dry and flaky skin you have on your body. Although it sounds harsh, it is very fine and if you have sensitive skin, this is a scrub you should be able to use without any worry. I have dry skin and this scrub leaves it feeling refreshed and clean as well as smooth and hydrated.
Sugar Crush also contains moisturising ingredients such as Almond Oil, Macadamia Oil and glycerin, all of which give your skin that smooth satisfying feeling you get from a scrub. Because of the oils it is none abrasive so you do not end up with red sore skin that other body scrubs can provide you with, perfect if you like to fake tan this time of year.
Soap and Glory have a range of different scrubs, they are some of the best scrubs from the drugstore I have tried and I have to say this was another winner.
