I have to admit, I tend to go through similar eye looks. I am a neutral girl through and through, but I will try and mix it up for you.
Today, I went for a true gold eye. After using my go to base the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige, I went straight in with my
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. I first went in with the shade
Salted Caramel as a base. Unlike the other matte shades I tend to lean towards, this mataches my skin tone which is the perfect way to get a true colour from the shadows I am about to put on my lids.
To add the gold shade, I went in with the shade
Creme Brulee. It is a stunning true gold shade. It is deep without being too deep and can be blended in easily in to the skin. I like it because it is a shade I would wear during the day but can also amp up and wear on a evening out. If you're a working girl, shades like this are the perfect day to night, office to meal out shade.
I then wanted some added definition to the lids so to do this I used the matte shade
Milk Chocolate in the crease and blended it out. I have to admit, I am a bit of a noob at this but I am getting there. Practise makes perfect.
As always a look is not complete without using an eye liner and mascara. Today, I went with
Benefit's They're Real Mascara, which is hands down one of my favourite mascaras to use and my go to,
Essence Waterproof eyeliner pen, a nice beginners eye liner, quick and simple to use.
A simple take on a neutral eye look. I am not a make up artist by any stretch of imagination so I hope this inspires you all to be a bit creative and not be scared to give new looks a try.
