As many of you may know, aside from beauty, a big passion of mine is reading. I've accumulated some new books recently so I thought I would do a book haul and share with you some of the books that I picked up over the last month.
Glam Guide by Fleur De Force
I have been looking forward to getting my hands on this from the moment I knew this was going to come to print. I admire Fleur De Force, for so many reasons, the fact she attenede one of the most prestigiuos universities in the country, to creating her own brand, her lovely bubbly personality. I watch a lot of people on the You of Tubes. She was one of the first people I subscribed too
and it nice to see her going from strength to stregnth. I am not going to lie, I am very much in awe of this lady. I have started reading it and genuinely think it is one of the best books of it's kind I have read.
Wild by Cheryl Strayed
This was an unplanned purchase. I saw this in Waterstones when looking for something to to spend my birthday voucher on. This is all about a 26 year old who has gone through a pretty rough time and decides to embark on a journey on her own. If any of you are in your twenties, you willk know it can be quite a rough ride. You are still trying to figure a lot of things out and going throuhgh that myself, I think I was drawn to this book for that very reason.
You're the one that I want by Giovanna Fletcher
Now, this is a cheat. I have actually had this on my shelf since December. I know I know slacking on the reading front! I loved Giovanna's Debut novel Billy and Me and her Christmas special was the most adorable book too, so I am looking forward to giving this a read. It is about a love triangle between three best friends. Two of them are set to get married, however, are they getting married to the right people?! Sticky but I am intrigued ie very nosey and want to know who ends up together. .
Feel the Fear and do it anyway by Susan Jeffers
I have been wanting this book for a long time. I use to take risks and managed to have some experiances that I would not change for the world. Since my third year of university, this kind of died down and it should have been the time, I put my butt in to gear. A lot has happened so I so I am hoping this will help me. I have read a lot of reviews and I have high hopes.
BossyPants by Tina Fey
Something that inspires me is reading books of successful people and Tina Fey is someone who I would say is a great advocate for women everywhere. She lept in to a male dominated world of comedy and carved a name for herself, which is not easy. She didn't like the way women were portrayed so made her own scripts including one of the most sucessful teen movies of the 2000's (Mean Girls) I didn't know half the things she had achieved before I started reading this.
I am really looking forward to getting my teeth in to these books. I am going to post more reviews on my book channel if any of you are interested in hearing my thoughts about them do not forget to check it out and subscribe. It is relatively new so bare with me.
Let me know what you have been reading.
