Make up Monday | What's on my face: Drugstore Edition

In celebration of #budgetweek I wanted to share with you a entire make up look from products you can pick up from the Drugstore. You can pick up everything I mention from Boots and Superdrug.

The Base
I cheated here because I don't have a foundation from the drugstore that I love. I find most can be too heavy and make me look unnatural. If I had to choose one it would be the Loreal True Match Foundation. My sister uses it and it has a great shade range if you have a deep or asian olive skin tone there will be one that fits you.

In terms of concealer I thought I would try out the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. It reminds me a lot of the consistency of the NARS Pure Radiant Concealer. If you have a cool tone or yellow undertones in your skin this shade range from the drugstore will work for you. I have the shade 20 which is  a little bit on the light side. I have only worn this about three times so I cannot give a full review but so far so good.

After that it is time to bronze the face, I use the Soap and Glory Solar Power Bronzer, which I have hit serious pan on. You know my love for this so I shall spare you the details but it is a great drugstore bronzer for natural finish to your face.

The Eyes
Generally, you get what you pay for when it comes to eye products but this is so easy and such a staple in my routine when I am in a rush. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze is a good one. I think I need to repurchase because I have had this since they launched and it is drying up now. These babies last on your lids all day.

I then line my lids using my trusty Essence Eye liner pen. I have chewed your ear off too much about this so I will skip the details. Then to coat my lashes today I am using my Essence I love Extreme Mascara. For the most part, I only use drugstore mascaras and you can find really great ones so pick one that you are the most comfortable with that gives you the length and volume you are looking for.

Then to end, I fill in the brows. Now my brows are kind of all over the place at the moment and need threading. I do use the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade, however, a black shadow is also a great option and something I use to do on the regular. Find a nice matte shade (MUA, Make Up Revolution and Loreal all have great matte formulations). I like bold brows and have black hairs so that is what I would go for. I feel less washed out that way. I used the black shade from my Sleek Oh So Special Palette.

Cheeks & Lips
Time to bring some colour back in to my dull winter skin. I went for the Bourjois Blusher I reviewed last week and used the Topshop Glow highlighter on the cheeks. The blush reminds me of NARS orgasm and has a hint of shimmer so if you were having a minimal make up day I would actually say you could skip out on the highlighter.

Then for the lips. I decided to do something slightly different for me and go with an orange based red. I usually stick to true or blue toned red but I thought I would give this a go. I went in with my Gosh Lip Liner and then on top I went on with the Loreal Eva Pure Red Lipstick. I don't give this shade enough love but I kind of like how it looks and I have a feeling I will be using this quite a lot over the summer.

All in all I really liked creating this look, I hope it gives you some inspiration!

Lots of love
