Review | MAC Heirloom Mix Collection Salon Rogue lipstick

MAC is dropping collections left right and centre and their latest one is their most beautiful yet. The heirloom collection is perfect for this time of year. After having a look around online I knew I had to get my hands on one of the lipsticks.

Salon Rogue is a beautiful deep wine red shade with some berry under tones. One of my favourite things about this that it can be blended on to lips as a nice berry stain or as I have worn this here full and straight from the bullet.

It is a Matte formula but unlike traditional MAC matte lipsticks such a Ruby Woo it is a lot more hydrating on the lips and is more of a satin finish so do not let that put you off. It lasts for a long time. I did apply a lip liner but I wore this lipstick all day and only reapplied it before I left work at half 5 and that was mainly because I wanted too, not because I really had too.

Now I cannot talk about this lipstick without talking about the packaging. How cute is this?! The tube the bullet comes in is gloss black with glitter on it. Personally, I feel this adds to the lipstick being the perfect evening handbag essential. Not only is the shade perfect for the evening dinner you have planned it is also something that adds a little bit of glimmer to your handbag.

MAC's Heirloom Mix collection is selling out fast! I have my eye on one of the Mineralised blushes if I can still get my hands on it.

Have you tried anything from the collection yet?

Lots of love
