Make up Monday | The golden eye look

A gold shimmery eye is perfect for this time of year. There are so many wear it. It can be worn during the night or with some added va va voom for the evenings.

I wore a gold eye in my last video and thought I would talk you through the look. The first thing I did was prime the lids. I went in with the Maybelline leather effects colour tattoo in the shade creamy beige. I absolutely love this. So easy to handle and use. It blends easily on the lids and the shadow stick to it just like you would expect it to stick to a traditional shadow primer.

I used the Make Up Revolution Flawless palette. I reviewed it here so I won't go in to it too much but I do like these shadows. I used the shade metal all over the lids. It is a nice deep gold which helps to add dimension. After this, I went in with the shade golden lights. This is a smidgen lighter and I apply this more on the middle of the lids rather than on all over the lids. It adds brightness, making you look more awake and alert.

To amp up the look I then line the lids. This time I am going in with my Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner. It has a small nib which means you can create a nice precise line. This time around I wanted it to be on thin side. I love the difference it can make an eye look. I can't believe I spent a chunk of my life staying away from it.

Wrapping up the look is the Mascara. I go in with the Essence Get Big Lashes volume curl Mascara. I have only just started using this. So far I am liking it, it gives my lashes that added oomph they need as it gives it both length and volume. I'll do a more in-depth review of this soon so keep your eyes peeled.

And there you have it, a nice easy to go eye look that can take you from day to night, work to play and anywhere in between. I am wearing this look in this video here so you can see it in action.

Let me know what you think.

Lots of love
