Review | NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

I never thought I would use the words love and concealer in the same sentence but low and behold love is the first word that comes to mind when I think of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.

Concealer has never been something I have had much luck with. I either find a lot of the formulations out there too thick for me (Bobbi Brown Corrector I am looking at you) or crease under my eyes enhancing any dark circles I may already have. (Loreal Lumi Magique that one is on you) but on a trip to the NARS counter I decided to ask the assistant to colour match me. At the time I had no real intention of buying it but as soon as she applied it, I knew it would be something I needed to add my collection.

I have the shade custard, which is on the lighter side of the shades NARS offer. It comes with sleek packaging which has a doe foot applicator. I like this applicator as it means you don't have to worry too much about over using the product, you can remove any access before applying in to your face. It is also more hygienic than having to dip a brush in to a pot of concealer.

The formulation of these follows that of the NARS sheer glow foundation, medium coverage but very lightweight, so much so you can only tell you have it on when you look at yourself in the mirror.

I use this just for my undereyes to brighten them up and make my face look that much more healthier but the coverage is such that if you got one in exactly the correct shade as you, it could be used on spots.

You can blend it in to your skin using a brush or just your fingers. Personally I like taking my time to blend this in using my fingers. It ensures the concealer doesn't crease or cake up when you apply it. Because it is brightening I allow this to go just above the apples of my cheeks to brighten my face up too. It is a trick I learnt from Lisa Eldridge and works an absolute treat.

Longevity wise, it lasts all day. I wear this from about 8am till 7pm and it shows no sign of disappearing which is one of the reasons I enjoy this so much.

So, does this concealer have any downfalls? Well price wise, it is £22.00 which is by no means cheap but quality wise is definitely worth investing in.

I have only had this for less than month but already it is becoming a firm favourite. As the only concealer I have fallen in love I think it is fair to say I won't be straying from this anytime soon.

Lots of love
