Make Up Monday | The Wedding Make Up

This week my cousin got married and I have done a few 'Wedding Appropriate looks' before so for a change I thought I would show you the make up I wore for the Mehdni Night.

Now, a mehdni is a pre wedding party for the brides friends and family so there are lots of fun, bright colours involved. I had to keep my make up quick and no fuss as I had to come home form work and quickly get ready. To save time I kept the base I had from the morning and just adding a few changes here and there.

My base combination of choice comes from NARS. I am try and keep my love for this pairing as low key as possible but it is a favourite so will be sticking around for a while. I use the NARS Pure Radiance Tinted Moisturiser in the shade St Moritz and to go with that the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. They just give my face a nice smooth bright finish that I like.

Then for my bronzer I have trying out the Soap and Glory Solar Power bronzer which I am really enjoying using at the moment. It is on the light side so not something you would use for a contour but definitely something you can use for a over all nice bronze look.

For the cheeks, I stuck to the cream blush formula but just built it up more than I usually us. I applied this when i got home as it only takes a couple of miniutes. I went with the Max Factor Blush as it is long lasting compared to other cream blushes and gives my cheeks a nice flushed look.

Time to tackle my eyes. Eye make up is slowly becoming my favourite thing to do albeit I am not very good at it yet but I like spending time picking out colours and blending them together. Anyway, as I didn't have time to do anything too intricate I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes eye paint. I was surprised as to how easy this was to do because I didn't want to spoil my eye liner or mascara and I managed to do just that! This is so easy to blend and sets straight away. It has tense lasting power so I knew I would be safe to use this as I was in for a long night.

Time for my lips. As it was an evening ceremony I could go bold with the lips. My go to lip choice is a matte formula and I decided to give my Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet an outing. It is perfect for this kind of occasion. Very long lasting and you don't have to worry about it slipping and sliding when you want to eat or grab a drink.

And voila! I tried to change it up a little bit as I feel like I kind of stick to the sameish sort of products but that is mainly because I am not a make up artist so I am still trying to find my way and picking up new tips and tricks.

Hope you liked it.

Lots of love
