A coral lipstick on B.ON.? No, I didn't see it coming either but this was one of those times taking a risk in your make up pays off.
is the other shade from the retro matte collection that became part of MAC's permanent lipstick line. It is a bright red/ coral shade which as I hinted at is not a shade that I usually find flattering on me but as it is summer I thought if there was a time to test the water it was now.
It is very wearable for bold lip lovers but as it is bright you can tone it down by using a red lipliner if you don't like bright shades and have this in your collection.
As the formula is retro matte, it can be a bit drying on the lips but I like that in a lipstick as it means it will stay put all day without feeling slippy or like it slip off your face.
One thing I will say is that if you have dry lips prep your lips beforehand. I did a post on this earlier but it will just make sure no lipstick sticks to the dry patches. As it is I actually just ate some juicy fruit and drank a cup of tea wearing this lipstick and it stayed put exactly! The colour didn't diminish.
I think relentlessly red is perfect for this time of year especially for garden parties, barbeques or even just shopping
Lots of love
