Happy Friday my sweets, hope you are all well. I was going to cook something yummy for today's post and as much as I have begun to like cooking, I am going to save that for next so my family can enjoy the food.
I also thought I'd take things back to basic. As easy and weird as it sounds I love a good old sandwich. They are easy to make and quite filling. Back when I was a student I use to just make the standard sandwich and it could get a bit boring so I thought I would share with you some of my favourite fillings that you can make in less that 5 minutes and in the comfort of your own home.
Peanut butter and Jam
...Or jelly if you are American. A nut butter has protein in which should be included in your two main meals so this is the perfect quick fix if you are looking for something to grab and go.
Turkey, mayo and salad
One of my favourites Turkey slices with toast spread with mayo and salad is healthy but also filling and tasty.
Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese
I had never tried this till last year and I have to say I am glad I did. It is creamy and smoked salmon is delicious. It appears expensive but you can grab a pack from Aldi for less than £2.00.
Chicken Mayo
This is one is a leftover cocktail if you will. Usually when we have grilled chicken or fried chicken for dinner there is some left over. I love when this happens because it means I can mix the chicken with mayo.
So yeah I know this may seem like a standard easy post but I use to get in a sandwich rut so I thought it might be worth showing you all that the possibilities are endless.
