Hi sweeties, brace yourselves ladies, I am about to talk about a Revlon lip product that is not a matte balm!
If you read my blog, you will know that I am a huge fan of Revlon lipsticks. In my personal opinion, they are some of the best the high street has to offer. I recently got the shade Really Red which is from their matte range.
It is the first matte lipstick from Revlon I tried but fell in love with it immediately. The shade itself is a true bright red with a pearlesant sheen to it. It is the shade of red that would suit a multiple of skintones and be equally as flattering.
It is a perfect spring red lip as it is not too deep and reflects the sun beautifully. Great for days when you are having an evening BBQ or going somewhere where you want to put in a little bit of effort without looking like you have overdone it.
For a matte lipstick the formula is the main reason why I love this so much. Instead of being drying as most matte lipsticks are Really Red has more of a moisturising quality to it similar to that of MAC Satin lipsticks.
It is long wearing, I have worn this shade to weddings very comfortably and with ease, which is not always the case with red lipsticks. It is fuss free, I didnt have to worry about it slipping and sliding all over my face (no one has time for that!)
Application wise you can wear this over a lip liner or without and it stays just was well in either circumstance. I found the only time I needed to reapply it was when I had something to eat or drink.
The best part is for £7.99 it is the perfect lipstick to ease yourself in to a bolder colour.
Have you tried a Revlon Lipstick yet?
Lots of love
