Review | Una Brennan Rose hydrate moisturiser

Happy Thursday loves, I want to share a budget skincare love with you all today. I am a huge advocate for investing in good skincare products but this does not have to mean expensive.

I have talked about the Superfacialist line by Una Brennan before and it has been mentioned as a good budget buy by the lovely Caroline Hirrons so I was interested in trying a bit from the range.

My skin is normal to dehydrated, and in these cold months it has unsurprisingly been more on the dehydrated side, so I wanted to try something to help combat it.

The formula is lightweight and due to the rose in it is soft and gentle enough for those who have sensitive skin.  An added bonus to the formula is that it contains SPF 15 which is something to look for in a base even during the winter. I do admit I prefer gel moisturisers, however as this was not greasy on the skin, I enjoy using it.

Ingredients wise, it contains a blend of UV Filters, (to protect you from the sun's rays) along with cucumber and marshmallow extracts, which help to calm and rejuvenate the skin. I noticed this straight away as my skin perks up slightly. It also contains shea butter which adds to the moisturising and softening qualities to the moisturiser.

When I apply this my skin automatically loosens up the tightness dehydrated skin feels. I sometimes reapply this when If I have gone out on a really cold morning and returned in the afternoon.

One thing that I was slightly hesitant on was the smell. Rose is not one of my favourite scents (although I am slowly coming around to it) which is why I was not sure if I would like this or not. If you feel the same way, do not worry, the scent is not as strong as it appears and disappears as soon as soon as it sinks in to the skin.

I cannot speak for the rest of the range but so far I like what I have tried from this brand.

Will it deter me from wanting to try the Clarins hydraquench moisturiser? As I am a bit of a skincare junkie, I will have to say no. However for  £12.99 at boots for a moisturiser which works I cannot complain. It is currently on 3 for 2 across other skincare too!

Lots of love
