Happy Monday loves, is it too early to talk about spring? Probably but the weather has been picking up here lately so I am choosing to use that as a sign that spring is coming to the UK soon.
With a new season some people like to change up their make up. Personally, it depends on the day rather than the season as weather over here can be a bit unpredictable. Saying this, I thought I would share with you some of my go to make up on a nice spring day.
Topshop Blush in 'head over heels' | Buy here
This is such a natural lovely coral cream blush. A cream blush is a must in warmer weather and the lighter shades offer a nice glow without overpowering your face.
MAC's 'Brick-O-La' | Buy here
Warm winter usually brings coral and nude shades on the lips. I'll admit, I can find these hard to wear but one of my go to shades on these occasions is MAC's Brick-O-La which is a nice brick terracota shade. It adds a nice natural shade to your lips without looking to heavy and over done.
Topshop lipstick in 'All about me' | Buy here
I love a bold lip even in the spring and summer. It makes me feel happy and put together but bold doesn't always have to mean dark. It can mean bright like this pink offering from topshop. The colour it looks like in the bullet is slightly deceiving, it is a stunning bubblegum pink which adds a little bit extra to your outfit.
Revlon 'Cherries in the snow' | Buy here
Ok so I think the fact my spring edit has three lipsticks in it shows how much of a lipstick junkie I am. This is a perfect option for the evenings in warm weather. It is a nice bold dark pink perfect with a nice dress on a spring evening.
Benefits creaseless cream eye shadow RSVP | Buy Here
In the spring it is all about light make up. I use cream eye shadows on a regular basis but if you switch it is up to the cream formula this time of year you cannot go wrong with the creaseless cream eye shadow range from Benefit. They are the reason I fell in love with cream eye shadows. I love the Maybelline colour tattoo's but these are the ultimate. I would hands down own every shade if possible.
SPF Moisturiser | Buy Here
A day moisturiser containing SPF is a must all year around (yes even in England!) but if you over look that in the winter it is a must in spring when the sun is out. Even if it is windy outside the sun is still bright and can still affect your skin.
Tinted Moisturiser | Buy here
The same goes for your base. Tinted moisturisers are great but harder to get hold off, especially if you are picky with shades. I love the NARS Radiance moisturiser as it already contains SPF and an impressive colour range so chances are they will have one to match your skin tone.
Over all, the theme of spring is to keep your make up light and natural to the level that suits you. There is no rule to say you need to change up your make up. As long as you are comfortable. Hope this post helped.
Let me know your spring picks.
