Make Up Monday | The quick evening eyes

Happy Monday, my loves, last weekend I attended a wedding and thought I would share with you the eye look I wore that evening. I was in a bit of a rush and used a new product that I wasn't sure was going to work (Not something I would necesserily advise but it worked out well) Not going to lie, I really liked the outcome of it and my sister also complimented it (which is saying something)

One of the reasons I want to show this to you is because it is perfect if you are a bit new to eye make up and not too keen on blending and using lots of shadows to create a weareable look. This required just one main colour and very little if any blending.

First of all I primed my lids. I used this sachet of the Urban Decay primer potion in the shade origonal. This came with the Naked 3 palette and so far I really enjoy it. After applying this it was time to add some colour to my eyes. I used the Rimmel eye shadow paint (review coming soon) in the shade Golden Bronze. I personally like golden shades on my lids and the pigmentation of this is to die for. I applied a coat of this blended it out slightly then went in again to increase the intensity as I wanted it to be bold but it isn't necessary.

Then something which I do not wear everyday but have been doing recently is liquid eye liner. Thanks to my Birchbox I was able to try the Eyeko skinny eye liner. I have been wanting to try something from the famous eye brand who Alexa Chung credits for her incredible eyes. I have a review of this coming up but my god for someone who was shaky with liquid eye liner this has made it so much easier. It is actually responsible for me wearing liner on a more regular basis.

And to end the look I needed some voluminous lashes. I stay away from falsies and I have no desire to try them out anytime soon. Saying that I still like bold lashes which is why I love Benefit they're real mascara* as it gives my lashes the thickness I like to wear during the day as well as on a night out.

Voila, that is the quick evneing eye look that I frequently like to wear and will probably wear for a while.

What do you think? Do you have a go to eye look for special occasions?

Lots of love
