Review | Urban Decay Revolution lipstick Venom

Hey there beauties, In December I was lucky enough to win a giveaway organised by the lovely Katie and one of the generous prizes was an Urban Decay revolution lipstick in a shade of my choice. I had herd a lot about Urban Decay's new line of lipsticks so was really excited to give this a go.

I chose the shade Venom which is a purple toned berry shade. It kind of reminds me of MAC's rebel but with a less of a pink undertone.

The formulation is the thing I love about this lipstick line. It is a satin finish meaning that it is moisturising without being glossy and sliding everywhere. It is filled with jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter and shea butter to give your lips hydration and nourishment whilst wearing them.

The lasting power is strong. I can eat and drink without this moving so although it is a bold shade you can get away with wearing this to parties or to a lunch.

One thing that I sometimes struggle with is the application of the lipstick. Personally, I would prefer, a traditional lipstick bullet to allow me to get in to the corners easily. The round bullet means that to get a precise application I have o use a lip brush which is not something I do regularly but this formula means that it is worth it.

I also love the packaging. The gun metal silver is sleek and edgy and something I would expect from Urban Decay.

Although I am not crazy about the application process of this lipstick, the formula makes up for it and I am glad I have it as part of my collection.

You can buy Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks online or at any Urban Decay Counter.

Have you tried them?

Lots of love
