Skincare Sunday - Morning after the night before

Happy Sunday my loves, we all have those nights where we stay up way past our bedtimes. Whether we are working late or out with friends the effects on our skin are the same.

The good news? with a bit of tender loving care and a few tricks we can give the illusion of fresh skin ready for the mornings you have to be back on form.

Firstly, a good deep cleanse of your face is needed. It not only wakes you up but rejuvenate your skin to give a good glow. I like using the Elemis Freshskin Skin Glow Exfoliating Face wash as it gives my skin the boost it needs.

After a long night your skin needs hydration so a serum is a must. On this occasion I use the Vichy Idealia Life Serum as it has moisturising properties along with it's serum qualities which revitalises stressed, fatigued, dull and unbalanced skin.

If you have dry skin this is where you go in with your regular morning moisturiser. I am still loving the Origins Ginzing energy boosting moisturiser as it gives my skin the hydration it skins and makes it healthy.

If you have normal or sensitive skin you can go in with a radiance primer. This will help give the illusion of fresh glowing dewy looking skin. My ultimate radiance primer comes from Laura Mercier but a good alternative can be found from Bourjois as I am enjoying the new Happy Light serum primer.

Then, I would end with a radiance foundation or base. Mine at the moment is the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in the shade Tawney.

When I do this it helps me feel good on the inside as well as look good out the outside. I find doing this lifts my spirits for the day ahead too. Hope it helps you all.

Lots of love
