Hello my beauties, hope you are all well. I have been wanting to share this review with you for the longest time. A couple of months ago MAC released their retro matte lipstick collection. It was a collection filled with a range of 6 (I think) MAC lipsticks with a matte formula.
If you read my blog regularly you will know I love a matte/ satin formulated lip products so I had to go have a look.I fell in love with the shade Flat out fabulous and knew I had to have it straight away. The shade is a bright plum shade something I didn't have in my collection. As soon as I tried it I fell in love with it.
As it is a matte lipstick, it is not something for those with dry lips. If you apply it on dry lips it can drag a little but I usually just apply some lip balm on as I am getting ready and it glides on really well.
The lasting power of this is incredible, I have eating messy foods such as curry, drank tea with this lipstick on and not once felt the need to have to rush to reapply it. If you are looking for a long wearing lipstick this is one for you.
Depending on the clothes I am wearing I either wear the lipstick on its own or wear it with a lip liner by Gosh in the shade Cardinal Red. I usually wear it like that to work as it can be a bit bright for the work.
Although the retro matte lipstick were released as a collection they were so popular (with good reason) that you can still find them as part of the permanent collection.
If you like lipsticks I would give this a try, it has been one of the most worn shades in my collection since I purchased it and will be for a very long time.
