Hi there my loves, today I thought I would share a gift idea with you all. If you follow me on twitter you may know that I won the lovely Zara's giveaway collaboration with Birchbox. Part of the prize was winning a six month Birchbox subscription and I thought I would share my experience with you.
First off, I should say, I have been sceptical about beauty subscription boxes. I always wanted to try them out but wondered if they were worth it.
The service by the Birchbox team is refreshing. The people I had to speak too were so lovely and process did not take long at all.
You have to register
to be part of the service, which only takes a couple of minutes and then you can fill in your profile so your box is tailored for your skin type and tones. Personally, I think this is a wonderful idea. I know it isn't new but I am glad they do this as it means you don't end up disappointed by getting the wrong shade in something.
Once you register you simply wait for your box to come each month. You get an email each month telling you that the box has been dispatched. This in itself I found impressive as it means you can arrange to have someone be at home if you are at work or just give you something to look forward too. The thing I like the most though, is that,I have never had to wait long for the box to arrive. It comes bang on the next day.
Another reason I love Birchbox is because the brands they work with are actual brands I would love to know more about and try. Birchbox teams up with Laura Mercier, Weleda, theBalm (which is hard to get hold off in the UK) to name just a few. I won't bore you a box review every month but will definitely review the products I really enjoy from the boxes.
I have only had two boxes so far but all in all I am really happy with Birchbox and think a subscription would make a gift for christmas or birthday for a beauty lover. You can get gift codes here
Have you tried Birchbox? if you have what do you think?
Lots of love
