Hi angels, today I thought I would share with you a product from one of my favourite drugstore brands.
Over the last couple of years Rimmel have been on point with their releases. Everything I have tried I have enjoyed using.
One of the new launches was the Scandaleyes line and one of the newer additions was their eye shadow sticks. These were brought out as an alternative to the Clinique chubby sticks for eyes. I had never tried an eye shadow stick before so I was really intrigued and looking forward to trying one.
I chose the shade Bulletproof Beige
, which is a light gold colour. I knew I would get a lot of use out of it as it is wearable during the day as it adds some colour to the lids but the shimmer in it means you can build the intensity up for a night out too.
The consistency is perfect. I found it to be creamy, making it easy to blend with either a brush or your fingers. I personally prefer to use my fingers simply because I feel that is the whole point of an eye shadow stick - to not have to worry about using complicated techniques and brushes.
One thing I was worried about was creasing but I realised I didn't have to be. I am happy to say that it did not crease once.
The longwear of the eye shadow stick is pretty good. I have worn this for at least 4 hours and found the colour to stay well on the lids. If you have oily lids or colour tends to come off your eye lids easily I would use a eye primer.
As you can imagine the application is easy. A couple of swipes on the lids of your eyes and you are good to go. It also makes for a perfect addition to your make up bag as it is an easy product to use if you want a quick transition from day to night.
Colour range wise there are only 5 shades to choose from which is a shame but they are definitely worth looking in too.
One of the best things about the Rimmel Eye Shadow Stick is the price. You can find them at all Rimmel counters for the price of £4.49
or as always keep an eye on the boots website for when they have deals on so you can pick it up for less or get two shades.
