Hey my loves. When it comes to colours I pretty much stick to what I know and like. Take eye shadows for example I prefer neutrals on my eyes.
The same could be said for lipsticks. I am a bit daring when it comes to lip colours and love a bold lip BUT I know that isn't for everyone so I thought I would share my thoughts on a colour that is light and cam be worn during the day.
The best way I can describe it would be coral but it isn't true coral (I can't pull them off as well) but it is as close as I can get to the colour.
First lets talks about the lips. I have two go to light lipsticks. I wear these on the day I want some colour but nothing too bold on the lips. If I have a meeting or want something different, they are what I go towards.
MAC's Brick-O-La is a brick terracota shade. I reviewed it in full here but it is hydrating, long lasting, flattering on my skin tone (which is hard in this shade) making it my go to coral shade.
The next go to shade comes from Soap & Glory. For some reason not many talk about their lipsticks but I have to say I have two and I really do like them. Man Trap still a bold shade but a lot more subtle than the berry and pink shades I prefer. If you haven't tried these lipsticks they are usually on offer and are worth a swatch if you are at a counter.
Blush is something I rarely change up. I basically stick to light pinks just to stop me looking like the walking dead when I leave the house. I have started experimenting though and one of those shades is sunrise by Sleek. In the pan it looks quite scary I admit but all you need is a slight tap with your brush to get the light coral colour on your cheek. When I say light I mean light, these blushes are amazingly pigmented which is great but start off small then build the intensity up to a level you are comfortable with.
I only own one blush from MAC and that is because it use to be my mums. MAC blushes are beautiful and this shade prism is the perfect peach everyday shade. It is matte so there is no shimmer in it making it perfect for a day at work or going shopping.
