Happy Thursday beauties, today I thought I would share one of my favourite things to do with my girlfriends and that is having a night in catching up.
As we get older spending time with friends is very rare and does not happen as often as we would like so the time we do spend together is precious.
As much as I love going to the cinema or going out for a meal one of my best things to plan if I haven't seen my friends in a long time is a girly night in. I usually use my birthday as an excuse to do this. It means you can relax and actually catch up on the real things that are going on in your life.
So I thought I would show you what my perfect girls night in would include.
Films
No girls night is complete without some form of chick flicks. I like a lot of movies from thrillers to Marvels avengers but chick flicks are one of my favourite to indulge in to forget about a busy day. As you can see I have a bit of collection. Some of my favourites are Love Actually, Wild Child, Friends with Benefits and No Strings Attatched.
Food
Now admit it girls we love to eat. When we are with our friends a night in has to include some food. My favourite is popcorn, popchips and some dark chocolate but anything food goes.
Depending on which of my friends I am spending the time with there will of course be some beauty bits thrown in.
Beauty
If my friends are as beauty obsessed as me face masks, going through general make up is quite fun. I mainly save my samples for times like these as they are easy and quick. It takes me back to when I use to have sleepovers with my cousin and we would paint our nails. It is a good way to have some light hearted fun.
The aim of a girls night in is to forget about your worries and have some fun with those people who mean the most to you. You can do this with your sisters and mothers too. There are no hard and fast rules of how to have a girls night in - it can be as simple as take away and x factor in the background while you catch up.
