Food Friday - Breakfast time!

Happy Friday beautiful. If you know me you will know that I love breakfast. It is hands down my favourite meal of the day. I love waking up and the comfort you get from filling your tummy with lots of goodness.

Just to put this out there I use to NEVER have breakfast. Up until about a year or so ago my breakfast would consist of just a cup of tea to wake up. I couldn't imagine doing that now. It makes a big difference to how your day goes.

So for today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite quick go to breakfasts. These generally take less than five minutes to make.

Crumpets & Jam - I call this my comfort breakfast. I am a crumpet obsessive. There is just something very satisfying about making crumpet and have them oozing with jam. nom! Not the most healthiest but definitely one of the tastiest.

Porridge - This literally takes 2 minutes to make in the microwave. A hint for those of you who may find it stodgy pour half milk half water instead of all milk. It comes out nice and creamy. I usually top this with honey and whatever berries are around at the time. I do want to experiment with porridge toppings a bit more but nonetheless perfect winter breakfast.

Wholemeal toast and peanut butter - I often have PB&J sandwiches for lunch but peanut butter and jam on two slices of wholemeal bread is mouthwatering. You can also cut a banana and put it on top too if you want too. This is a good and easy way to get some protein in to your system ready to start your day.

Yoghurt and fruit - This isn't a go to breakfast for me as I prefer something warm and slightly comforting in the morning but if you have a busy day ahead or woke up late and need to rush out of the door a yoghurt with some fruit like an apple or banana is easy. You can take it with you to have while you are at your desk or on your journey.

There are my easy lazy girl breakfast ideas. quick, easy with very little to wash up.

What do you have for breakfast?

Lots of love
