Skincare Sunday - Skincare 101 - the routine

Happy sunday beautiful people. If you are anything like me, you will probably find skincare a bit daunting. Especially if you are only getting in to it. There are so many products out there it can be overwhelming.

To make it slightly more easier for you I thought I would share a bit of what I have learnt in terms of when to apply each product throughout the routine. I am not saying you need every single one of these things (I personally think it all depends on the type of skin you have) but I hope this helps most of you.

1. Cleanse - Using your cleanser of choice it should be the first thing you apply. Double cleanse in the evening if you wear a lot of make up during the day to make sure it all comes off.

2. Toner - I haven't found my perfect toner yet I will admit (I really want to try Michael Todd or the Pixi Glow tonic) and I know not everyone uses one but whichever but if you do this is when you apply it.

3. Eye Cream - I swear by using an eye cream. It makes such a huge difference so if you haven't tried one yet I really would! My favourite one is Origins Ginzing eye cream. It does what it says on the tin. I apply it before my moisturiser so it can absorb in to the skin.

4. Serums - Now is when you do the *extras* not everyone uses a serum and not everyone feels the need for them. There are a lot out there so choose one for your skin type. I have normal - dehydrated skin so hydraluron as a serum which is perfect for me but it might not be for you. Do your research and buy accordingly.

5. Moisturise - The final step before you head to your slumber is one of my favourite parts of my skincare routine. It makes my skin feel so nice and smooth. My favourite moisturiser is again the new offering from Origins energy boosting moisturiser.

Then once I am in bed I put on some lip balm and hand cream but that is just personal choice.

I hope you guys find this useful.
Is your routine similar to this or do you do something different?
