Make up Monday - Let there be gold

Good Morning! Here is to another week full of fun and sunshine.

I love nothing more that a bit of gold shimmer either through a highlighter or on my lids. When I want that gold glow there are a few products I reach for.

For highlighting I use the highlighter in my Sleek highlighter. I find it to give me a nice subtle glow without looking like I have waved glitter all over myself. This highlighter gives you a nice sheen.

Then for the lids - like most bloggers I know out there I am a neutrals girl so the choice for eye shadow is endless. My top few for the golden look is the maybelline 24hour colour tattoo in On and On bronze. It is quick easy and looks beautiful on the lids.

For more of a lighter gold tone I would opt for the Loreal infallible eye pigment in Sahara Treasure. I love these little eye pots. It is easy to apply and blend in to the eye and the pigmentation on this is phenomenal.

The ultimate choice for eyes is of course my Urban Decay Naked Palette. It is filled with lots of colours that would suit the golden but in particular is half baked! It is the perfect summer time shimmer eye shadow.

Then it is time for lips which I know are not a gold shade (they don't suit me so I steer away from them) but I couldn't resist adding some of my favourite lip products in here that would compliment the look. For an easy day time look opt for Revlon lip butter in Macaroon. If you want something a bit bolder but equally as easy to light to wear in the heat at night Lord and Berry lipstick in 20100 chocolate is perfect.

What do you all think of the gold look?

Lots of love
