Today I wanted to do something slightly different and review a book I have a feeling most of you will like to read.
I have been a huge fan of Lauren Conrad since I was a teenager. She is an incredible fashion designer, business woman and over all smart and sophisticated too.
I of course admire her style and how she always manages to look flawless too, so when she brought out a book with her beauty tips, I knew I had to get my hands on it.
What I like about the book is that it has a holistic approach to beauty. It talks about health, wellbeing, having fun and doesn't preach to you that you have look a certain way.
It features tips which she learnt along the way from her make up artists who also give tips on the site
the beauty department. It features Conrad's classic looks from her winged eye liner and bold red lips to how she gets her beach curl hair.
It shows you the mistakes people make and offers advice suitable for people with different skin tones too which I really liked as I do not think many beauty books do this.
The end of the book is filled with different make up looks throughout the ages. I am hugely getting interested in the history of make up and seeing its development in to what it is today so I found this really facinating.
If you are in to experimenting with different make up looks and hair styles I would definitely look in to getting this book. I find most tutorials can be complicated to follow but the way Lauren explains each look and tips makes it not only easy to read but also easy to recreate.
Any Lauren Conrad fan will absolutely love this book. You can get it from
Waterstones as well as
Amazon.
