Happy Monday! here is to another week. Hope you all have something nice planned.
Today's blogpost was quite impromptu. I was doing my make up this way when inspiration for this post came to me.
I generally do use make up brushes but there are times when you may need to use your hands. Either because you are running out of time or if you're anything like me, you forgot to wash your make up brushes.
In situations like this, this is what I do.
As usual I apply my base with my fingers. I start off with my new primer of the moment Laura Mercier Radiance Primer. I am going to do an in-depth review on this but holy guacamoly I love this. It gives my skin a flawless base for my tinted moisturiser on.
I then take a little bit of my NARS tinted moisturiser in St Moritz and blend it in to my skin with my fingers. This actually gives a better and flawless look compared to using brushes.
Then it was time for concealer, this is usually the easiest thing to do without a brush. Most come with a doe foot applicator. I use Fake Up* by Benefit. I apply it from the bullet under my eyes and then blend it out using my hands.
I skip the bronzer because I don't have anything in my collection to do that without using a brush. So I applied the Max Factor miracle touch cream blush in soft murano. I dabbed a little on my cheeks then blended it in with my fingertips. If you are worried about doing this, I would say start off small and them build it up. Cream blushes can easily be built up.
Then eyes, I used my MUA eye primer with its applicator and then went in with a cream eye shadow all over the lid. The one I used was On and On bronze or Bad to the Bronze if you are in the US by Maybelline. I love this and it is so easy and creamy to apply by dabbing it on to the lids using my fingertips again.
I have to admit, this is where I cheated a bit and used a brush - It was for my eye brows. I do not own a eye brow pencil as I have yet to find one that matches my colour eye brows so I had to fill them in my usual way. Using Urban Decay's black out and my Barry M angle brush.
My favourite part of my make up routine has to be lips. I love a good lipstick as many of you will know. I started off by lining them with my Rimmel 1000 kisses lip liner in Indian Pink then applied my Soap and Glory Pom Pom lipstick which is one of my favourites.
So apart from one little slip I think that was a good effort of make up without using a brush. It was quick and I got complimented on my make up that day too so I guess it looked good too.
Have you tried this before?
Lots of love
