Loreal Glam Shine Stain Splash - Juliet 300

Good Morning sweets. Happy Thursday. What do you all have planned? I have a busy day which I cannot wait to tell you all about.

Today I wanted to talk to you about the latest lip releases from Loreal. After falling in love with their Colour Riche Lipsticks I was intrigued when they released the Glam Shine Stain Splash range earlier this year.

For those of you who may not know much about these they are suppose to be a lip stain. A dupe for the YSL Glossy Stains. I've read a lot of reviews about these and there are some mixed reactions but when boots had a 3 for 2 offer, I knew I had to get my hands on them.

I decided on the shade 300 - Juliet. It a red shade but leans towards more on the brown red shades rather than being a berry colour. I fell in love with the shade as soon as I swatched it. Why? because even after me moving about the swatch stayed in precisely the same place.

The colour and shine is buildable depending on how many coats you apply. I tend to apply 2 -3 coats to get the right amount of colour. I do use a lip liner before hand but that is my personal preference. It comes with a doe foot applicator which makes it quite easy to apply but you have to becareful towards the corner of your lips.

My main niggle with this is that is is very glossy, a bit too glossy for my liking. If you like a good gloss this is great for you. Personally, I am a bit more of a matte kind of a girl (probably why I love lipsticks) even though I don't mind gloss this was a bit too much.

I was impressed with the longevity of the these. They last a good 3-4 hours even when the gloss does fade a little the stain stays in good form.

Overall the idea is great and if you have wanted to try the YSL Glossy stains this is a good alternative. If you are a fan of both lipsticks and lipgloss in equal measure this may be for you.

You can get the Glam Shine Stain Splashes at all Loreal counters, They retail for £7.99 but boots have a 2 for £15 on Loreal products at the moment.

Have you tried these yet?
Lots of love
