Hey lovelies, today I am going to talk about something a little bit different. I am a little bit obsessive when it comes to being organised. Yes, I am one of those people who enjoy planning and making lists. I cannot help it. It helps me stay calm and put things in to perspective. Especially if I am busy.
I am a bit of a stationary horder. No really I could buy notebook after notebook even if I don't it. I am always looking for one. I have no idea why but it is what it is. So I thought I would show you the bits I use to help me stay organised on a day to day basis as I am a bit of a planner...actually I like I am a major planner.
I hope this will give you some tips, especially if you are a student or have exams as I found these helped a lot when I was in university.
Diaries
Yep, that is right diaries, not one but two. (did I mention I like buying stationary ;) ) no this was not a waste of money, I actually use both of these frequently.
The first one is a slim purple leather one which is from Ryman. I was looking in to getting a moleskine but I actually preferred the look and feel of this. It is where I put all the appointments I have as they come along. I carry this one around with me in my bag as it is light and easy to open and use. I use it so I can see my week at a glance so I know how busy I will be.
The other diary is for my obsessive part of planning. This is where I plan day by day stuff. I include the things I need to do that day and what time I have to do them in. Of course it doesn't go exactly like this, i mean sometimes things take longer or less time than you think. Over all though this helps me stay focused.
Notebooks
Now for notebooks, there are two I am using constantly. This small dinky one is from WHSmith and I love it. I use it for making lists. I am really old school when it comes to making lists and prefer to make them on paper hence the purchase of this beautiful piece of stationary. I write everything from make up recommendation lists to shopping lists in this book.
This notebook is from the same range from Ryman and it is where everything blog goes. I carry this around with me most of the time. I find I can get inspired throughout the day with a blog post idea or a new feature so having this on me means I can write it down so I don't forget. There is nothing worse than thinking of a good blogpost and then forgetting the details because you didn't write it down.
Extras
Sticky pad
There are many versions of this but my dad picked this up for me from home bargains and I use these all the time. I can write to do lists on them and put them in my bigger diary on the day. I also use use them to make lists of things I need to pack when I am going to be out of the house all day and things. the small arrows I use in my blog book so I know where certain posts are and stuff so I am not rifling through trying to find stuff.
Colour pens
I love a bit of colour especially on things like this. It makes it look a lot more pretty which makes it easier to look at and helps see things at a glance.
So that is what i use to stay organised. I hope it helps some of you.
