So for my first Skincare Sunday post I thought I would start off with the basics. This is something that most of us should do more off but we don't. I'm talking about drinking water.
We all know that drinking water has health benefits. It cleanses your system and provides the natural nutrients your body needs. You might not realise it but this also has the benefit on your skin too.
Now I am not going to tell you to drink a certain amount of water a day. I would be a hypocrite if I did that however I can hands down say that I feel the difference of drinking more water.
It's not that hard as it sounds either! I've always liked water but when I went to Uni the water tasted... well pretty awful to be honest, so I drank more Pepsi max. By more I mean a lot.
I didn't realise the affect this had not only on my skin but on my body till I decided to not drink any when I moved back to Uni.
It keeps your skin hydrated and clear which in turns improves your completion and the over all state of the condition of your skin.
Want to give drinking water a try? Here are some of my tips as to how you can :)
- When you wake up before you have breakfast have a bit of water.
- When you're out and about pick up a water bottle so you can fill up instead of buying drinks.
- Just cordial or flavoured water that do not have artificial sweeteners or added sugar. (That way you're drinking water without it tasting like water)
- Lauren Conrad actually recommends drinking lemon water in the morning :)
Do this for a month and I am sure it will become second nature.
You won't regret it and your skin will thank you for it!
Lots of Love
