I usually do my book review over on judging covers (I need to do more oopps) but I thought I would review this on here so I could talk about it in detail as I know this is something most fellow bloggers would be interested in.
Blog Inc is written by Joy who runs a successful blog called Oh Joy! Which is a great blog and has been going for a very long time. She definitely knows what she is talking about when it comes to blogging.
There are many books out there about blogging but this is the only one I have eer wanted to pick up and buy. It is really easy to read it goes through all the stages of a log from starting up to blogging as a career (which is something I could only dream about)
The book to me is split in to two sections the first section is all about starting up. The steps you should take. These are things like naming your blog, thinking of the content you want to write about. If you have been blogging for a while this won't be anything too new to you but it is still interesting to read. It is really informative and if you are a new blogger it will definitely help you in terms of helping steer you in the right direction.
Towards the end of the book it talks about the complicated parts of blogging such as balancing life and blogging (which most of us know is not always easy) as well as making ad spaces and sponsors. I don't know too much about this so this was all quite new and really intrigued to read.
What I also really liked the book and probably my favourite bit is the interviews. The book contains endless interviews with fantastic and successful bloggers such as cupcakes and cashmere and a beautiful mess. Each explain how they got to where they are today and give you plenty of tips .
I could see the passion they have for what they do just from reading them.
The book is great and Joy is a fabulous writer.
If you are a new blogger I would definitely in courage you in to looking to get this book. I got mine in the Urban Outfitters sale but you can get it in most book stores.
If you have been blogging for a while dont be put off looking in to reading this. It is interesting and it is nice to read about something you enjoy doing. There is also still some tips you will find useful in there.
