Kate Moss Matte Lipstick Collection 2012

I was going to wait to do this post till next week as I already have posts in my draft to publish for you all but in all honesty I was too excited to show you this collection that I couldn't wait.

I am an avid lipstick fan, I have been since I was a teenager. It was one of the only make up products I wore growing up. So I was really excited to hear about Kate Moss's Lipstick range for Rimmel London and I really liked them. Fast forward to September 2012 and I am even more excited to hear about her new collection which came out on October 3rd.

As soon as October 3rd hit, I went to boots (who are having a 3 for 2 sale on all cosmetics including Rimmel) and just to prove how good these products are it took me forever to fine a boots that still had them in stock. Excuse the cliché but they really were selling like hot cakes.

I first brought the shade 107, which is a dark plummy sort of colour. It is not the normal colour I would go for but I wanted to try something new and at £5.45 I wasn't exactly breaking the bank. I am so so glad that I decided to buy this shade. It has become one of my favourite lipsticks already. Not only does it appear to look sleek and give off the matte finished look it last a long time! When I say it lasts a long time it stayed on all day. You could eat some biscuits and it would not come off. It pleasantly surprised and shocked me as it was not something I was expecting.

The texture kind of had a velvety smooth kind of feel to it. If you have dry lips maybe apply some lip balm a couple of minutes before just so your lips don't get dry but I didn't find it too dry at all especially considering it is suppose to be a matte finish lipstick.

The second Lipstick I have from the collection is in the shade 111 Kiss of Life. I only brought this the other day and I already love it. I find it very hard to find and wear a lipstick this kind of red. The formula's of the previous one's I have tried just never seemed to worked as well and look a bit messy on me. This on the the hand does not. It is a bit more moisturising than the 107 shade and has the same velvet smooth texture I was expecting. It was really easy to apply too. It doesn't run like most red lipsticks. I've herd this is a similar shade to MAC's Ruby Woo which from what I can tell they do seem quite similar (although I don't have Ruby Woo so I cannot compare) So if you are looking in to getting that but were a bit hesitant about bold lipsticks it might be worth trying this out first.

Both lipsticks are incredibly easy to apply and last the entire day. The only time I have ever reapplied them is when I have a meal. The affordable price at £5.45 also means you can afford to give bold lips a try in this range. I never use to wear bold bold lips before but this two shades changed my mind and I wear both of these frequently now. You can get both of these shades in the usual Rimmel cosmetics counters although as I said they are selling out fast so I would advice you to go in the morning when you know they have restocked :)

Have any of you tried any of Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks? What did you think of them?

Lots of love
Nafisah
