Film Review: Snow White and the huntsman

I actually watched this film a couple of weeks ago but I have had a whirlwind few weeks and completely forgot to put a review up.

The film was even better than I had expected it to be. I watched it quite late after it's release and was starting to wonder if it would live up to the hype. My god, it did. The storyline was a darker version of the fairytale as anyone who has seen the trailer would expect. The key parts of the fairytale are there though, the dwarfs, the evil stepmother, the prince and the poison apple. There are however some pretty good twists and it is quite easy to see how this could have been the original version of the fairytale we all know and love. (As some people claim it is )

The scenery, the graphics, the flow of the film were all done incredibly well. Add the likes of Charlize Theron playing the step mother who is obsessed with her beauty (Although if you look like Theron why would you?!) was effortless. It really was like the role was made for her. Kristen Stewart surpassed my expectations on playing Snow White too. It really showed how incredibly talented she actually is as an actress. Chris Hemsworth Played the huntsman. He played the troubled, cheeky and lovable character very well.

All in all, the film was amazing and it is definately worthwhile seeing if you haven't it. I can definitely see why it was a big hit!
