Recently, I got the opportunity to talk to the lovely Aaron Paxon who is the lead singer of the band called These City Lights.
Tell us a little bit about These City Lights UK?
We started in late 2010 under the name
paper street and there was an opening for a new lead singer and then
I auditioned for them and we began making music ever since.
What inspired you to join These City
Lights?
I liked the music which they played and
I knew they had potential. The guys were really cool and I wanted to
be able to make music that people would want to listen too.
What can we expect in the future from
These City Lights UK?
We are starting to Tour in June and
August and we hope to get to the point where we can write and release
an album.
You've been in Kerrang Magazine, that must have been pretty cool right?
Yeah it was, it was really cool to be in the local hero section. I used to read Kerrang all the time so it was pretty cool.
When did you become interested in Music?
I became friends friends with Luke from the Ocene eyes in 2007 and my first gig was seeing Sum 41 Brixton Academy and i've been hooked ever since.
Who are your role models in the music industry?
Adam Lazzara from Taken back Sunday
The whole of Blink 182
Bert McRacken from The Used
Luke McInroy from The Ocean Eye
Where can people who are reading this
listen to your music?
Is there any advice you would give
someone trying to start a band?
Be prepared to spend a lot of money and
do a lot of the hard work yourself.
These City Lights are made up of 5 boys from London, who have immense passion for music.
Want to know more about a band who is going to become huge in the near future?
