Fashion Friday - Heels, Heels, Heels.

Happy friday wonderfuls. I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend. Wedding season is coming up which means lots of lovely evenings filled with food, good friends and of course wonderful clothes.

With this in mind, with nice clothes come nice shoes. In particular heels. Now I love heels. I really do BUT I can be a bit awkward walking in them. I tend to not wear them on a daily basis because I am always in a hurry and they would just get ruined. This means when it comes to investing in them I have to be a bit thrifty.

Anyway, before I get carried away I love heels. They are pretty and look elegant. A girl should have at least one pair of heels in her shoe collection. I make sure I have a couple of staple heels that I can re use.

One of my absolute favourites is this gold pair which I got a couple of years ago from a shop in Birmingham. (Sorry I can't remember the name) They were on sale so I got them for about £20 which was a bargain.

The back strap makes them comfy to walk in the open toes means your toes can breathe which isn't the case with most heels.

It is good to have a glitzy staple like this in either gold or silver for big occasions especially if you don't wear heels too often. It jazzes up an outfit and isn't restricted to one outfit!

Another staple has to be a pair of black heels. Great for meetings, office jobs, sophisticated meals basically anywhere. You can dress up a pair of jeans and a nice top if you are going to a semi casual meal but want to look good or wanting to impress at the interview.

The key for this is in my opinion is to make sure you can walk in them. Test them out break them in if you have too. Nothing looks more sloppy than walking in to a interview or a room full of people looking like you are about to fall over.

These are my favourites, I think I got them from Wynsors for about £10. They are comfy on my toes with a mid length heel which means I can walk in them.

Black heels are out there in their hundreds. Take your time to find one that suits you.

I will be doing another post on other heels I have but for now I am going to leave this here as this post has gotten a bit long and I don't want to bore you!

What are your favourite pair of heels?
Let me know

Washi hot cloth skin polishing kit

Good morning lovelies. Happy Thursday! Hope the week has treated you well so far.

Today, I wanted to talk to you about something that we sometimes forget about but is important and that is what we use to clean our faces.

I'm talking about the towels we use. Now I don't know about you but one of my favourite things about taking off my make up off is having that warm flannel on my face leaving me feeling soft and fresh.

The one I am loving at the moment is from a company called Washi. I hadn't really herd of them before but I love these. They are a staple. I genuinely do not use muslin cloths anymore.

The one I got has this pretty packaging around it. The colourful tag with the pink ribbon around gives it a lovely touch.

It comes with a small flannel which you put under water rinse it out and take your cleanser off. It also comes with a a bigger face towel which I also use to washy face.

The quality of these are really lovely. Both gives a soft touch on your skin leaving you feeling like you have washed your faced and are clean.

Another bonus is that they are reusable. A lot of time i find muslin cloths although they claim to go in the wash you can only use a couple of washes. I find these a lot more durable and definitely worth the money.

What else do you need from a flannel?

You can get a pack of Washi skin polishing kit here. A pack of 7 retails at £6.25

What do you use to wash your face?

Silver Supermarket Watch

Hey wonder people, we are nearly halfway through the weel, yay! (I say that like I have an exciting weekend planned or something...I don't) Anyway, today I wanted to talk to you about watches.

I love watches, I love looking at them and I find them quite useful. I mean I know I have a phone which tells me the time if I need it too but have it on my wrist is a lot more convenient.

Unfortunately, finding one that fits me can be a big pain. Either it looks too chunky on my arm or it is too big and needs a lot of links taken out of it and trust me ain't nobody got time for that! So when I saw this watch* on the silver supermarket website I knew I had to have it.

It is a watch in the style of a shambala bracelet which I love. I really like how this fits on my wrist as I can tie it without worrying about it not fitting me nicely.

It is really wearable and versatile too. I chose the one with black and white gems in it so that I can wear it with all my outfits but you can get them in different colours.

One of the other things I really love about this is the fact that it doesn't look out of place on my hand. The size is exactly right. It doesn't bring any awkward attention to my wrist that a chunky watch would as they just do not suit my hands.

If you have problems finding a watch that fits you or just want a simple but nice and sleek watch check out the website for the colours and different styles.

You can get this watch from the Silver supermarket here.http://www.silversupermarket.co.uk/disco-ball-jewellery/1214-black-and-white-8-bead-disco-ball-watch.html

Are you a watch person?

Organix Moroccan Argon Oil Serum

Hi lovelies, I hope you all had a lovely monday :). I had a busy but good day. Now if you follow me on Twitter, you may remember telling you all a couple of months ago that my hair was feeling a bit unhealthy and dry. That has never happened to me before so I asked you all what you would recommend.

My friend Jayde, who I have known for years told me to try the Organix Moroccan Oil. I've herd her rave about it before so I knew I had to try it. I got it a month ago but I wanted to give it a good go before I told you all about it.

The first thing you would probably notice is that the bottle is quite small. Do NOT let this put you off at all. You literally need the tiniest amount (bare in mind I have thick hair) so it lasts for a very long time.

On the bottle it says it penetrates in to your hair and leaves it feeling silky and soft. It does exactly that. I dry my hair naturally after a shower and usually the ends are left quite frizzy and sometimes a bit dry. Since I have used this, I don't have that problem anymore.

You have to apply it on damp hair. So I come out of the shower and get all clean and fresh then add the oil in my hair. I make sure I apply a bit more on my ends but it put it evenly on the rest of my hair. Then I just let it dry.

One of the things I am sure you are wondering is if it would leave your hair a bit greasy as it is an oil but it really doesn't. It absorbs straight in and leaves it feeling nice, sleek and soft.

Organix Moroccan Oil is pretty much exactly what I want from a hair oil. The other plus? You do not have to fork out an arm and a leg for it.

Organix Moroccan Argon Oil can be found at boots in store or online for a friendly £6.99.

Make Up Monday - Starting a brush collection.

Happy Monday beautifuls. I hope you have a great week ahed of you all. For todays make up monday series I thought I would show you all a few of my brushes.

Believe it or not, I do not have a lot of brushes like you would expect someone who loves make up to have. I have only just sort of started collecting them. I still have a long way to go but I thought I would show you the essential couple that I probably could not live without.

Real techniques Foundation brush - This brush is not talked about a lot in the blog world. I brought this last year sometime. It did a good job at applying foundation but it is not the best brush for that. i tend to use my hands most days. This brush is actually really good at blending (which you would expect as it is a foundation brush) so I use this to lightly blend in my concealer. It does a really good job as it is really soft so I do not have to rub so hard against the skin. RRP: £9.99

Real Techniques Shading brush - Can you tell I like RT brushes? ;) This is my main brush for applying eye shadow. I do not have massive eyes so this works really well when I want to apply a quick colour on my eyes or even doing a little bit more of a detail eye look. It is soft and does a decent job at blending too even though it is not a blending brush at all. RRP: £7.99

Real Techniques Contour brush - I use this for blusher as well as bronzer as my face is quite small (although round) so I find it does me well to apply blush with this on the apples of my cheeks as well as bronzing where I need it. i really like it, it is nice and soft and applies enough product. It helps me from just applying it lightly or building it up on my face. RRP: £21.00 (Part of the core collection)

Barry M Angle brush - Now this is not the best quality brush out there but it does the job so that is all I can ask of it really. I just use it to fill in my eye brows. Angle brushes can also be used for lining your eyes with shadows so if you want to use that make sure the bristles are soft. Especially if you have sensitive eyes. RRP: £2.99

If you are just starting your brush collection I would say to start with the Real Techniques core collection. I have it and will be reviewing it soon. I really do like them and for the price you cannot go wrong.

All these brushes are sold in store at Boots or Superdrug.

What are your go to brushes?

Lots of love

Skincare Sunday - Eye Creams the lowdown.

Hey lovely people, I hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday especially in this cold weather!

Today, I thought I would talk to you about something that I dont think it talked about too much. That (if you haven't guessed from the title is eye creams) Now, I don't know about you but I never thought eye cream was something I would have in my collection especially when I was in twenties. Fast forward to now and it is a pretty big staple in my skincare routine.

I know a lot of you may be feeling the same so I thought I would tell you when I use it. There are a lot of reasons why eye creams are good too use from reducing wrinkles to keeping your eyes hydrated.

I use eye cream for the following reasons

  • Dryness - From using eye make up remover to take off my eye make up and general dehydrated skin in some areas the areas under my eyes can sometimes get dry and that just isn't pretty. A little bit of eye cream helps to keep that hydrated and stop it from drying out.
  • Brightening - Now sometimes I do not get enough sleep. Usually this is fine, I don't get tired too much however if if these goes on for a few days I can start looking a bit awful. My eyes can get a bit puffy or I can get dark circles. Normal things you would expect. Eye Creams can help reduce this.
The eye creams are quite light. I have used are Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream which is my absolute favourite. I have done a review of it but it aims to brighten and depuff your under  eyes. Let me tell you guys this stuff works. If I goes a couple of turns without using this I notice it on my face so I know it works and does exactly what it says it does. It is a bit expensive but I have had mine since February and it shows no signs of finishing yet.

The other one I has tried is from Balance Me. I love this brand, affordable prices for some great products. If you haven't checked them out you should! The eye cream I have used from them is the wonder eye cream. It aims to sooth, brighten and lift the eye area. Again, I liked this. It did the job. it has a citrusy scent to it which if you like that smell can leave you feeling quite refreshed.

All in all both of these eye creams are on the lighter side as I do not have severe problems under my eyes. They're great if you just want to see if eye creams are for you. If you do want something a little more stronger check out the eye cream range from Khiels as they do some really lovely ones. There are a lot out there so figure out what you are looking for and some research before buying.

Remember your under eye areas are one of the most sensitive places of your body so it needs looking after whether you are 20 or 50.

Do you use eye cream?

Food Friday - Popchips

Hey beauties, happy friday. I hope you have a great weekend. For todays food friday, I thought I would show you my favourite crisps. I am not much of crisps person but when I do want some this is the one I go too.

Popchips are American brand and I first of them through YouTube favourites videos. Then within the six months I have slowly started seeing them becoming more and more available in the UK which actually got me stupidly excited because I wanted to try them.

My favourite flavour is BBQ. They are basically baked crisps which means they are better than other brands of crisps.  They are nice and crunchy, full of flavour. The packet also claim to be free from anything artificial.

If you are aiming to eat clean this is not a bad place to start. The ingredients list is really short and natural.

You can mainly get them in big jumbo sizes at the main supermarkets like Sainburys and Morrisions but there are single packets out there for you to try with a sandwich on your lunch or something.

I usually have them with a cup of tea or something.

The other flavours you can get are Original, Sour Cream and onions and Sea salt and vinegar.

Let me know if you are going to try or have done already.

Lots of love
